What it looks like : Blue-green on the back with dark marbling, silver belly.
Behaviour: Moves in large groups, often near the surface.
Fisher interest : Easy to spot and catch when in groups, making it ideal for families and beginners.

1. Striped Bass
An iconic predatory fish of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, the striped bass is prized for its strength and fighting spirit.
What it looks like : Elongated silver body, adorned with 6 to 8 dark horizontal stripes.
Behaviour: Hunts in groups, often approaching beaches and rocky areas to feed.
Fisher interest : Powerful pulls, energetic fights, ideal for sport fishing.
